Pre-entrance
Only for those running either event and wanting accommodation to be paid up on or before 30 April 2023. Completed entry forms and proof of payment for both race and accommodation can be emailed to info@blanco.co.za

Geographical Info
Terrain
- Consists of both Single and Jeep tracks
- Rugged rocky outcrops and at places soft river sand
- Altitude 4200Ft
Weather
- Can expect cold conditions – runners to carry warm tops
Route
Trail weaves along river banks entering the private game reserve 10km route, which forms part of the 21km route, is relatively flat with a few gradual hills.
21km route enters the Winterberg mountain range. The first 8km of the route is challenging. Magnificent views and some game viewing will make the effort worthwhile.
General Info
Blanco Guest Farm is a kid’s haven with every activity imaginable. From interaction with animals, actor rides, jungle gyms, trampolines and much more.
Guests are to bring own bar and soft drinks. (No Bar facilities)

Blanco Guest Farm is a registered Nature Reserve situated 14 Km from Tarkastad, 269km, from East London and 320Km from Port Elizabeth.

From Port Elizabeth:
From Port Elizabeth, travel North on the N2 and then take the R32 to Cookhouse. At Cookhouse continue through to Craddock. Approximately 1 km before Craddock, take the Queenstown/Tarkastad turnoff. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From East London:
From East London, travel North on the N6 to Queenstown. At Queenstown, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 km from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From Cape Town:
From Cape Town, travel on the N1 to Beaufort West. At Beaufort West continue along the R61 to Aberdeen. At Aberdeen, take the R57 to Graaff-Reinet. At Graaff-Reinet, continue along the R57 for 49 Km and then turn right onto the R61towards Craddock. At craddock, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From Johannesburg:
From Johannesburg, take the N1 to Bloemfontein. At Bloemfontein, take N6 to Aliwal North and then through to Queenstown. At Queenstown, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button.
